Twitter Chats

new_bird_0In addition to participating in our peer mentoring program, you can now get involved with the ILN by joining in our Twitter chats. Each twitter chat will have a defined topic, connected to our regular discussion topics and throughout the chat we will pose questions related to the topic to help feed the conversation.

To participate all you have to do is sign onto Twitter at the scheduled times, follow us at @interlibnet and use our hashtag #interlibnet.

We will try and advertise the times ahead of the day as early as possible. Sadly due to the global nature of our program it isn’t possible for us to find a single time that will suit everyone so instead we will endeavour to offer different chats at different times of the day. We hope you are able to join us at least some of the time. We will collect all of the tweets at the end of each chat and post links to the collections on this page so you can catch upon the discussions later.

Please note: All times and dates listed here are in Australian Eastern Time (Sydney) or Australian Eastern Daylight Time (Sydney). Please use a time zone converter to view the times in your local times zone.

I have had experienced LIS education in INDIA and USA. It was a totally different experience MLIS in India is more of theory than practice unlike in the US. Through I teach in Library school still I feel there is a need of continual up gradation of updated IT skills and knowledge in this ever evolving landscape of Information Technology.
New LIS student always try to get into some hands-on experience on working on practical aspects of LIS subject.
