When thinking of words to describe a librarian, ‘creative’ may not be the first term that comes to mind. But having a look at the ALA Movers and Shakers 2014 list may change that. Here are just a few highlights:

The list goes on and on.

But since we all can’t all be Movers and Shakers how can us mere mortals express ourselves creativity in our day to day work? Here are a few ideas:

Over the next two weeks we will explore the ideas around libraries, innovation, creative thinking and hopefully inspire you to look at your own work a little differently.

So are you creative at work? If so, how? If you don’t see yourself or your library role as involving creativity, do you work with anyone who does? Have you seen any interesting innovative library projects? What do you think of the ALA Movers and Shakers listed above? Could you use any of their stories to introduce something new into your work space?
